FÜYA is a kinesthetic, theoretical and poetic method that aims to educate the human organism on the importance of accessibility to the sacred through contemplation exercises.

FÜYA Academy is proposed as an activity of physical-spiritual experimentation and as an opportunity to deepen the dance through Damiano Fina's research on philosophy, dance and meditation.

The courses are open to all those who wish to undertake a path of deepening on their body through the practice of movement and the technique of body balances taught by the FÜYA method developed by the artist.

"Maybe one day we will stop calling everything by the right name."

- Damiano Fina

The FÜYA method distances itself from dualisms and questions notions such as gender identity, gender expression, and biological sex.

About the FÜYA Method

by Damano Fina

The days of hunting and dancing around the fire are still in our cells, along with ancient world views. Damiano Fina takes dance back to its origins to illuminate its future. According to the artist, today it is necessary to bring the performing arts back to the sacred and ritual. In order to restore this connection between the sacred and the profane, art must take an interest in pedagogy. Thus the FÜYA method was born, because dance and performance are educational.

Hi, I’m Damiano

I am happy to introduce you to FÜYA Academy. I founded this method in 2015 and I continue to develop it along with my artistic research. My art explores the sacred through the FÜYA method, an approach that blends philosophy, dance and meditation.
